Turkish coast guard rescues 35 illegal migrants
The Turkish coast guard rescued 35 illegal migrants in distress off the coast of the country. This was reported on June 22 by Anadolu Ajansi. Rescued refugees tried to enter Greek territory, among them were women and children, most of those rescued were from Afghanistan. The migrants were taken to specialized institutions, where the issue of their extradition will soon be decided. Recall that Turkey is a convenient transshipment point for refugees from the Middle East and North Africa. Migrants escape internal conflicts in their countries and dream of entering the European Union.
