Georgia declared general quarantine and curfew

From 08:00 on March 31, a general quarantine is announced in Georgia in order to prevent the large-scale spread of coronavirus, Georgian Prime Minister Georgy Gakharia said at a briefing in the government administration on March 30. We have decided to significantly tighten restrictive measures under the state of emergency, and we declare a general quarantine, which will be effective from 08:00 tomorrow, the Prime Minister said. During the quarantine period, all modes of public transport, including the Tbilisi Metro, will be prohibited, both within cities and municipalities and intercity transport. During this period, only vehicles that will have special passes, i.e. vehicles that supply commercial networks and pharmacies, or vehicles that bring employees of continuing companies and organizations to work, are allowed to move. During the quarantine period, passenger cars, including taxis, are allowed, provided that there are only two passengers in the back seat in the car except the driver. From 21:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m., a curfew will be imposed throughout the country, during which only pharmacies will operate. Recall that on March 21 by order and decree of the President of Georgia in the country declared a state of emergency, and on March 23 quarantine was introduced in Marneuli and Bolnisi.
