In Spain, a patient died of West Nile fever
The victim of West Nile fever, an outbreak of which was recorded in the Spanish province of Seville (autonomous community of Andalusia), was a 77-year-old resident of the village of La Puebla del Rio, EFE reports. It is noted that the man is the first deceased in an outbreak of the disease, which has already affected 35 people in the region. The patient entered the intensive care unit a few days ago. In addition to him, 31 more patients with fever were hospitalized in medical institutions. According to the news agency, at the end of July at least 14 cases of infection with West Nile fever were detected in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida.
