Indonesia hopes to cooperate with New Zealand in the fight against the pandemic, reports Kompas. Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met with New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters on July 29, 2020. During the meeting, Indonesia hopes that cooperation in the context of the fight against the epidemic can be carried out immediately, Retno Marsudi said during a press conference with reporters. New Zealand was the first country to begin cooperation with Indonesia during the pandemic. The parties signed an action plan for a comprehensive partnership between Indonesia and New Zealand for the next five years. According to the news agency, earlier Indonesian Minister of Research and Technology Bambang Brojonegoro paid a visit to Turkey, where he met with Minister of Technology and Industry Mustafa Varank to discuss, among other things, opportunities for cooperation in the development of vaccines and drugs for COVID-19.
