An earthquake occurred in northern China
An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in northern China in Hebei province, reports Xinhua. The epicenter of the tremors was located near the city of Tangshan at coordinates of 39.78 degrees north latitude and 118.44 degrees west longitude. The center of the seismic event lay at a depth of 10 kilometers. There was no information about possible destruction or casualties. According to the news agency, on July 8, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred in Yunnan province in southwestern China. The epicenter of the seismic event was located in the city of Kunming. There was no information about the victims.
