Police clarified data on destruction from the flood in the Carpathian region of Ukraine
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, due to bad weather, 570 settlements were partially flooded, regional police said on the evening of June 24. According to the agency, 7,261 households were flooded in the region, 18 settlements remain without electricity, the news agency reports. Also in the region, about 125 km of roads, 1 thousand 850 m of coastal fortifications and 29 bridges were destroyed, transport links with 21 settlements were broken. According to updated data, three people died in the Carpathian region as a result of the flood, another was missing. The police give a list of the most affected settlements, including most of the resorts of the Carpathians. the news agency recalls that due to heavy precipitation in recent days and the floods caused by them, several regions of Western Ukraine were affected. The greatest destruction was recorded in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Today, a government commission from Kiev, headed by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, worked in the region.
