In Britain, they created an inhaler for independent treatment COVID-19
British scientists have deployed national testing of an inhaler with beta-interferon as the first remedy against COVID-19 that can be treated outpatiently, and not in hospital conditions. It is reported by the Daily Mail. It is noted that people over 50 years old with a positive coronavirus test and other comorbidities can take part in inhaler trials. Within two weeks, trial participants will regularly inhale the nebulizer drug SNG-001, which is an interferon from the beta group. Patients will have to report their condition via video link. Also, a new method of treatment will be tested on 100 patients of the hospital. It is assumed that inhalation of the lungs with beta-interferon will contribute to stimulating immunity and will not allow the disease, which occurs in a light form, to go into a heavier degree. Journalists of the publication emphasized that in the UK at present, patients with COVID-19 who are treated at home are not prescribed any treatment. Patients are only instructed to self-isolate and hope that their condition will not worsen. Thus, inhalation will be the first specialized method of treating COVID-19 that is used outside the hospital walls in the UK. According to the news agency, earlier scientists at Standford University began clinical trials of a drug for the treatment of hepatitis B interferon lambda (interferon of the third type) as a treatment for COVID-19.
