A resident of Malta died of coronavirus


The fatal outcome of infection with SARS- CoV -2 virus is registered for the first time in Malta, writes April 8 Malta Today. The Maltese Minister of Health, Chris Farne, said that a woman aged 92, whose history included cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus, had died. Recall, in Malta the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection reached 299. The first patient was identified on April 7.

The court determined a preventive measure to the son of the ex-prime minister of Georgia

On August 4, the Tbilisi city court issued a preventive measure to the son of the former Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Zhvania, Bessarion Zhvania, and awarded him detention. The defense at the meeting demanded his release on bail in the amount of 50,000 lari, which the court did not agree with. According to the prosecutor's office of Georgia, Bessarion (Busa) Zhvania is accused of trying to intentionally kill the grandson of Georgian businessman Gogi Topadze Levan Topadze. In the house of the latter, which the prosecutor's office recognized as injured, Busa Zhvania stabbed Levan Topadze several times, as a result of which he is still in serious condition, in intensive care, after several operations.
