New York Broadway closes over coronavirus

Broadway theaters located in the Theatre Quarter of New York City Manhattan are closing due to coronavirus. The relevant order was issued by the Governor of New York State Andrew Cuomo, reports the Associated Press. In addition, events involving more than 500 people are prohibited in the state. Earlier, Robert Redfield, Director of the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that to date cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in 44 states, including Washington.

The court determined a preventive measure to the son of the ex-prime minister of Georgia

On August 4, the Tbilisi city court issued a preventive measure to the son of the former Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Zhvania, Bessarion Zhvania, and awarded him detention. The defense at the meeting demanded his release on bail in the amount of 50,000 lari, which the court did not agree with. According to the prosecutor's office of Georgia, Bessarion (Busa) Zhvania is accused of trying to intentionally kill the grandson of Georgian businessman Gogi Topadze Levan Topadze. In the house of the latter, which the prosecutor's office recognized as injured, Busa Zhvania stabbed Levan Topadze several times, as a result of which he is still in serious condition, in intensive care, after several operations.
