In Syria, a ban on movement between provinces due to coronavirus is imposed

The Syrian Government is imposing a ban on movement between provinces in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection (SARS- CoV -2), which will last from 31 March to 16 April. This is reported by SANA on March 29. The Cabinet of Ministers, as part of the measures taken by the authorities to combat the spread of coronavirus, decided to ban movement between provinces from 18:00 Tuesday (31 March), the message reads. According to journalists, the ban on movement between provinces will last in Syria until April 16. Read also: The first case of coronavirus infection confirmed in Syria We remind that earlier the Syrian authorities decided to temporarily stop the operation of public transport throughout the country due to the threat of coronavirus infection, starting from March 23 at 20:00 local time. According to World Health Organization (WHO) monitoring, as of 28 March, five cases of coronavirus infection had been reported in Syria.
